||24th March 2011 NEWS UPDATE: New Building Regulation Charges
Ashfield District Council took the decision before January 2011 to absorb the increase in VAT (for a fixed period of time) from 17.5% to 20% and therefore in reality Building Control charges were effectively reduced by 2.5%.
The new fees which will come into effect from the 1st of April 2011 reflect the increase in VAT to 20% but the Building Control charges will remained the same as those set back in October 2010.
