Fee Schedule from April 2012

From 1st April 2012, the fee for some of our third party services will be increasing. The prices for our own search services will remain the same. For an updated list, please see our current fee schedule.

New writable search form

We have added a writable pdf form to our website which allows you to submit your search requests directly by email.

The form can be completed online and emailed with the option to add a plan or other relevant document before sending. Alternatively you can print and save the form to be sent by post or emailed at a later date.

Section 151 Statement

In accordance with The Local Authorities (England) (Charges for Property Searches) Regulations 2008 we are hereby publishing our Section 151 statement for the year 2009/10.

Home Information Packs have been suspended

The Government has announced the suspension of Home Information Packs with immediate effect from 21 May 2010. Homes marketed for sale on or after 21 May 2010 will no longer require a Home Information Pack (HIP).

The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will be retained.   Sellers will still be required to commission, but won't need to have received an EPC before marketing their property.

ICO Guidance

Following the release of new guidance from the Information Commissionaires Office regarding Property Search Requests, we have updated our details of how to submit a request under Environmental Information Regulations or the Freedom of Information Act.

HIP Search

Ashfield District Council can now offer all the required searches for a Home Information Pack. If you require a Water and Drainage search, a Coal Mining search or a Land Registry Search you can order them online.

Turnaround

Our current turnaround time is 3 working days from receipt of your Local Land Charges Search.
