How do I submit my application?

You can submit your
application by post or deliver in person to the Council
offices in Kirkby; by e-mail to planning.admin@ashfield-dc.gov.uk;
or electronically through the Planning Portal.
Once the application is received and confirmed to be valid you will be sent an acknowledgement letter along with the details of the planning officer dealing with your application.
Please note: Your personal information will be handled by Ashfield District Council in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. It will be kept by the Development Control Section whilst the planning application is being processed including if the application goes to appeal. The applicant name and address will be available on the public planning register, which contains records from 1974 to present day and is available to view online and at our offices. Your information may be passed onto third parties during the planning application process. If you do not wish your information to be made available then please contact Development Advice and Control.
If you have any queries regarding your application you should contact your case officer directly as he / she will know the details of your application.
The electronic submission of supporting plans and other graphical documents should be in a common graphical format (e.g. .gif, .jpg, .bmp, .png etc). Please do not use proprietary CAD formats.
If you want to make the payment for your application by credit/debit card over the phone or via electronic banking please contact us on 01623 457231. You should state that the payment is for a planning application and provide your reference number if it is known.
