Youth Arts at 'The Undercroft'

||
You might think that letting a load of young people loose with spray cans of paint was a reckless thing to do, but a group of young people from The Undercroft Youth Club at the Huthwaite Library did just that!

Assisted by West Midlands-based artist Joel Butcher, the young people had a thoroughly enjoyable day spray painting designs onto huge wooden panels which are now hung on the exterior walls of their building.

The art day was a culmination of a project funded by Groundwork, Ashfield District Council, East Midlands Development Agency and Waste Recycling Group to re-develop wasteland outside the club into a community space and garden.
