Changes To Ashfield's Highway Services
Changes to Ashfield's Highway Services became effective from 1st April when the services formerly carried out by Ashfield District Council were transferred back to Nottinghamshire County Council.
Issues relating to weeds, hedges and trees on the highway should also be reported to Nottinghamshire County Council on the number above.
Ashfield District Council remains responsible for environmental cleanliness within the district, irrespective of whether it relates to the highway or not.
For 2012/13, the district council will also continue to cut highways grass verges. This means issues with litter, dog fouling, grass cutting, needles and fly-tipping on the highway should still be reported to the district council on 0800 183 84 84.
Insulate Ashfield
Ashfield District Council has secured funding and is working in partnership with selected contractors to help you improve your home's energy rating with free* loft and cavity wall insulation should your home be suitable.
A 100% grant will cover the cost of standard Cavity Wall Insulation. It will also cover full Loft Insulation where the existing depth of insulation is less than 60mm (2.5 inches).
